FOUNDER and PRESIDENT

EDUCATE began out of desperation. As a first grade teacher I was desperate to figure out how people learned to read and read well. Sitting on Superintendent’s Cabinet, I was desperate to figure out how to shift a district from Balanced to Structured Literacy. Are you desperate to do what works? WELCOME. You are finally home.

I hold a doctorate from the University of Washington, was a former national LETRS trainer, am the current President of The Reading League (Washington), and sit on the International Dyslexia Association Board for WA, MT, and Idaho. I author and provide Tier I solutions through professional learning and products. -staci

I believe an educated society secures a nation’s future. At EDUCATE, it is an honor to support the most valiant humans (educators) in the literacy mission. I’m a Professional Engineer by day and EDUCATE worker by night. Our small and mighty team supports districts and state departments with TIER ONE products and professional learning to accelerate literacy proficiency through strong Tier I practices. OPERATIONS SUPPORT

When our mom, Staci, was a teacher, principal, and director, we cleaned classrooms, swept gym floors, put up bulletin boards, and did other duties as necessary. We’ve supported public education our entire lives and are honored to continue to do so. We are products of public education and are honored to use our evenings and weekends to support today’s teachers and school leaders. We take care of the millions of things it takes to support our nation’s school systems.
